I have more than five years of sales experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Until May 2013 I was a Senior Project Manager in charge of maximizing revenue generated by events, groups and meetings. I had the opportunity to work in the sales departments of Hyatt, Concorde Hotels & Resorts and The Leading Hotels of the World.
After moving to San Francisco CA, I’ve started learning more about online marketing. I first wanted to reinforce my knowledge in marketing and I got Coursera - University of Pennsylvania - An Introduction to Marketing - certification in July 2014. I also got HubSpot Inbound Marketing certification and took online classes with Skillcrush to learn how to code and improve my digital literacy. In the meantime, I worked for three startups where I handled various online marketing projects. Many things are going in startups and these experiences were excellent skills accelerators.
I’m a self-starter, avid learner and startup enthusiast. I love finding out what people needs to create things that help, working as part of a team and building long-lasting relationships. The clients and users come first and I spend time understanding their pain points to create compelling content or provide them with the best online experience possible. Verlocal is a social marketplace for local experiences in San Francisco. Came up with new strategies to increase traffic and played a key role in the launch of New York City. Identified, tested and evaluated new referral channels. Monitored and reported KPIs of referrals' acquisition channels to the team. Increased number of transactions generated via referrals. Initiated link-building project by submitting website to directories and collaborating with bloggers. Produced blog posts, press release, media kit and curated new experiences’ content. Prospected for new hosts and increased number of experiences. Provided insights how to effectively use the Verlocal platform. Collaborated with team advocating on behalf of hosts.

Frontdesk Anywhere is a provider of award-winning cloud-based Property Management System (PMS) for hotels. Oversaw web content and marketing collaterals creation in a fast-growing startup working closely with the marketing team and executive leadership. Developed SEO-optimized content for landing pages, blog posts, press releases and articles. Created a news websites database specialized in hospitality. Designed and edited content for monthly newsletter and emails announcing events and features. Translated the sales team’s needs into actionable marketing tools, creating brochures and banners in coordination with the design team. Played a key role in the expansion in France meeting tight delivery deadlines to deliver French website and French brochures. Initiated company’s branding and identity project with founders and marketing team.

Like A Local Guide is a website and mobile application designed to provide travelers with recommendations from locals. Played a key role in the launch of Paris application creating engaging content and expanding Parisian locals community. The required 100 spots and content sections to launch the city were produced within 3 months. The application currently suggests +200 spots. Now regularly write fresh content for Paris as a side project. Created 70 recommendations for eating, nightlife, shopping, and things to do categories focusing on users’ expectations and applying Like A Local brand positioning. Designed educating and helpful content for 7 categories and 28 Parisian neighborhoods. Produced blog posts independently and collaborating with other locals. “7 Things Only Tourists Do in Paris” and “A Sweet Tooth’s Guide to Paris” picked up by the Condé Nast Traveller’s website.
This 4 star hotel offers 950 guest rooms and 35 meeting rooms and was formerly the Hotel Concorde La Fayette. Joined new group sales team further transfer from Concorde headquarters. Adapted successfully to new environment and maintained positive relationships with key accounts leading to senior-level promotion. Managed event leads from national and international travel agencies and corporate clients. Conducted negotiations for all aspects of contracts and realized 100+ visits of the hotel. Collaborated with 17 sales optimization project managers to set prices, 8 sales managers to support revenue generation efforts and coordinated with 17 event managers to ensure events’ success. Increased my average closed deals per week 250% from Sept 2011 to Jan 2013 and increased revenue generated 38% compared to 2011. Developed strategy to enhance management of fast growing number of leads from India creating guidelines for the sales and event teams.
Concorde Hotels & Resorts comprised 23 four and five stars hotels. Managed event leads from national and international travel agencies and pharmaceutical clients for 6 hotels from 140 to 950 guest rooms. Qualified leads, conducted negotiations for all aspects of contracts and realized 20+ visits of the 6 hotels. Maintained and developed long-term client relationships with travel agencies and corporate key accounts after previous senior project manager left. Exceeded revenue objective 33%. Collaborated with 3 revenue managers to set prices, 17 sales managers to support productive revenue generation efforts and coordinated with 27 event managers to ensure events’ success.
The Leading Hotels of the World is the largest luxury hotel collection including 430 prestigious properties. Initially hired in the group sales office but transferred to the sales department after financial crisis of 2008. Deepened knowledge of the luxury hospitality industry assisting 2 busy sales managers in charge of France, Monaco and Benelux. Maximized revenue while delivering excellent customer service and identifying business development opportunities. Planned sales meetings with customers and organized familiarization trips in The Netherlands, France and Morocco. Coordinated participation in trade shows. Provided support to hotel members sharing regional market expertise and educating them on the full use of LHW services. Worked as a diplomatic liaison between hotel members and demanding travel agencies. Regularly managed VIP bookings for national and international celebrities, focusing on high quality experience, confidentiality and safety. Consistently updated database to run accurate reports and extract customer contact lists.
Hired in the French group sales office to manage event leads from demanding travel agencies and corporate clients based in France, Monaco and Benelux. Conducted contract negotiations with national and international hotels such as Ritz Paris, France or Bellagio Las Vegas, NV. Outperformed by 128% the average number of confirmed events and by 232% the average revenue per coordinator in the European region from March to December 2008. Assisted the account manager in making cold calls to prospect for new customers and plan sales meetings, and providing monthly reports. Participated in marketing and sales activities attending the IMEX trade show, translating monthly newsletter into French language and providing the sales team with customer contact lists.

I enrolled in the certification program to acquire the best practices of inbound marketing. The 11 classes cover various topics such as optimizing a website, blogging, creating the right content for an audience, SEO, CTAs, social media strategies, landing pages, email campaigns.
I passed the AdWords Fundamentals exam that covers basic and intermediate concepts, including the benefits of online advertising and AdWords, and best practices for managing and optimizing AdWords campaigns. I then passed the Display Advertising exam that covers advanced concepts and best practices for creating, managing, measuring, and optimizing Display campaigns.
This Coursera online course teaches the fundamentals of marketing. The classes focus on branding strategies, customer centricity and new market entry. I already studied marketing at the Edhec Business School Nice, France, but I wished to stay up-to-date.
I enrolled in the 6-week online class How to Get Started in Tech. I acquired some knowledge of HTML, CSS, User Experience, Web Design and Photoshop. Selected for the blog post “Nothing to put in your portfolio? Read this!” as a result of success.
